Syllable spelling 1 looks at using counters to split words in to syllables, then sounding through each syllable and writing the letter (grapheme) to represent the sound (phoneme) we hear.

Syllable Spelling 2 takes a different look at syllable splitting - with more emphasis on breaking each syllable down into sounds (phonemes)

Spellchecker and Syllable Splitting builds on the learning on splitting syllables and adds ICT support - using spellchecker in Word. Information is given on how to access Word at home through the learner's school Glow account.

Make and Break is a multisensory way of breaking target words down into syllables, then reforming them. It aims to build skills in syllable splitting and blending and to encourage thinking about letter patterns.
