This activity includes ‘th’ as well as ‘ss’, ‘oo’ in words that then add ‘suffix -ing’.  We will continue to use our doubling rule picture prompt as we think about whether we need to double or not.

Some of the words we cover will be included in dictation sentences.  You may want to take a break before you write the sentences, or between the sentences.  They build into a short story about a cat called Ting.  Long vowel sounds are not included in these words and sentences.
