We use pictures in the Check Up routines to remind us of the reasons for making a spelling choice.  New choices are added.  One includes listening for the following vowel sound to know when to write the letter ‘g’.  One is a choice for when we are reading: look at the letter that follows ‘g’ to know which sound to say.
