This activity takes another look at ‘suffix -ing’. It also introduces a picture that can be used as a reminder of the reasons for using the doubling rule.
The speech sound we say when we see ‘oo’ will be used to help us think about when we do not need to double the last consonant. Long vowel sounds are not included. Two of the words we covered will then be included in a dictation sentence.
