Work along with the video on words that include choices for consonants, long vowel sounds and adding suffixes.  In this lesson, we will be including words using ‘ace’, and ‘ice’.  We will be thinking about words that rhyme. You might like to get your written letter cards ready to work along with the video.

You may prefer to work on the ‘ace’ words first and come back at another time to look at the ‘ice’ words.  The ‘ice’ part of the video starts at 16:20. You may also prefer to have a break at 12:32 and come back to the film to explore a new rule for adding suffixes and write a sentence using the rule.  The rule is explored again at 21:42. This time a different suffix will be used.
