Strategies for reading and spelling words with more than one syllable are included in this video.  We will also be including syllable splitting patterns, and a consonant spelling choice.

Please use home-made booklets for reading and for additional practice of writing sentences.  Read your stories to someone you know.

Choose the 'Building Speed' video below to build quick responses to both vowel sounds.

This video includes all the speech sound to letter links that are in the first Building Speed activity as well as the letters needed for a long vowel and for a consonant spelling choice.

Once you have the first written set of letters from watching the film, you can go over these letter-sound links again and again by asking someone else to say the sounds to you.  Remember – an automatic response to the sounds frees up brain space for the words you want to write.
