1.6 Writing Sentences 1
You are here: Shapes and Sounds Part 2 > Lesson 15 - h > 1.6 Writing Sentences 1

Listen to the spoken sentences that use words with short vowel sounds, and then write them.

Our sentences build into an illustrated story called 'Hips on a Hob'.  Listen to each sentence, or part of sentence, as many times as you need.  Either rewind or pause the video and ask someone else to say the sentence to you.  It can take a long time to build up a memory of spoken words, so please do not be concerned about needing to listen several times.  When you have finished each sentence, you can also illustrate your story with pictures that suit you.

The punctuation that is needed for each sentence will be discussed as the sentence is demonstrated.

Remember that you can use texting or typing as a different way of practising your reading and writing.  You can also include your own ideas in the story.
