But what about the other ways of writing today's speech sound?

Long vowel sounds can be written in different ways. We use the position of the vowel sound in a word to help us decide which letters to write. 
Please note that we will not be using all the spelling choices mentioned in the video. We are simply answering all the "what about ....?" questions.

• Cursive Handwriting Booklet 1 pg.4 or the Pre-cursive Handwriting Booklet pg 5 
• Home Work List 2, or the Pre-cursive Home Work List 2
• Home Work Combined Words and Sentences for syllables - List 2
• Word search 2 can be used by those using cursive or printed letter shapes 
• Picture cards for Blend Pairs - you decide on the pictures and use the number of pairs in each game

There are also Say and Write cards for each letter and consonant blend.  These cards provide another method for building speedy responses to the letter shapes that are seen and the speech sounds that are heard. Please ask your school for the cards and training on how to use them.
