Work along with the video which explores an additional spelling of a long vowel sound.
When you feel that you need a break, take a note of the time on the video by clicking the mouse on the red dot, or tapping it on the screen. You will then know exactly where you can restart.
Then, listen to the spoken sentences that use words with some of the spelling choices we have covered, and then write them. You may prefer to write just one sentence, or paragraph, and take a note of the time. This will let you know exactly where to go in the film to start the next sentence.
Our sentences build into a story called ‘Relief under a Ceiling’.
The punctuation and the suffixes that are needed for each sentence will be discussed as the sentence is demonstrated.
Remember that you can use texting or typing as different ways of practising your reading and writing. You can also include your own ideas in the story.
