1.7 Writing Sentences 1
You are here: Shapes and Sounds Part 2 > Lesson 11 - b and oo > 1.7 Writing Sentences 1

Listen to the spoken sentences that use words with short vowel sounds, and then write them.

Our sentences build into an illustrated story called ‘Mab’s Bap’.  Listen to each sentence, or part of a sentence, as many times as you need.  Either rewind, or pause the video and ask someone else to say the sentence to you.  It can take a long time to build up a memory of spoken words, so please do not be concerned about needing to listen several times.  When you have finished each sentence, you can also illustrate your story with pictures that suit you.

The punctuation that is needed for each sentence will be discussed as the sentence is demonstrated.

Additional activities are suggested at the end of the film.  Use these activities to add different ways of practising your reading and writing.  You can also use typing as your extra practise.
