We use pictures in the Check Up routines to remind us of the reasons for making a spelling choice.  We will be including a gradually increasing number of choices for consonants, long vowel sounds and new vowel sounds.

As you work along with the video to write the letters you need, you will be encouraged to listen for the sounds that follow the speech sound /g/, to know which letter to write.  When reading, you will be asked to look at the vowel letters that follow ‘g’ to know which sound to say.
