1.2 Possessive Apostrophe
You are here: Shapes and Sounds Part 2 > Lesson 10 - The Apostrophe > 1.2 Possessive Apostrophe

Take another look at using an apostrophe to show that something belongs.  We will refer to the memory prompt again: Do I need an apostrophe OP?, but this time we will use the P to prompt us to think about what people possess.

This video will give written practice for using apostrophe with the names that we have included in our previous lessons.  A name that ends in an s is included, and the video explains the options that we have when this happens.  We can then choose the option that suits us best.  Adding an apostrophe after a plural is also included.

These rules will be covered again as we introduce more letters.
