You will find resources to support the reading of words with consonant blends from sets 3 & 4 in the sub-sections on the right.  

The sets are detailed on the introduction page of this section of our website and again at the bottom of this page.

For each blend you will find 2 resources, a reading sheet and a speed challenge.  For example, if you want to target and practise words with the pattern gl you will find these resources in set 3 in the folder called ‘bl, cl, fl, gl’:

You can simply ask your child to read through the sentences on the screen.  These pdf files could be saved on your computer or saved as a ‘Collection’ in your Books library on the iPad.  This way the learner can revisit and reread time and time again.  If you have access to a printer, the learner could highlight the blends patterns before they read them aloud to you.

Children love a challenge.  If you time the learner each time they read one of the lists and record it, they can see if they can beat their speed the next time they read aloud.
